Privacy Policy

Selloff (“we”, “us”) provides a tool for creating a private catalogue of items for a one-time personal sale and sharing it via a private link. We are the data controller for the personal data described below. You can reach us at support@selloff.app.

• Account data: your email address and, optionally, a display name.
• Sale content you create: item titles, descriptions, prices, photos, and the contact details (name, email, phone) you choose to publish on a sale so buyers can reach you.
• Usage data:to count how many people view a published sale, we store a one-way hash of visitor IP address + browser user-agent. The raw IP address is never stored — only the irreversible hash, which we cannot reverse to identify you.
• Authentication cookie: a strictly-necessary session cookie that keeps you signed in. We use no advertising or tracking cookies; our analytics are cookieless.

• To provide the service — create, store, and display your sales and items (performance of our agreement with you).
• To authenticate you and keep your account secure (legitimate interest and performance of our agreement).
• To send transactional email — sign-in links and password resets. We do not send marketing email.
• To generate draft listings from the photos you upload, when you use the AI drafting feature (performance of our agreement).
• To produce aggregate visit counts shown on your dashboard (legitimate interest).

We share data only with the providers needed to run the service:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and photo storage.
• Vercel — hosting and cookieless, privacy-friendly analytics.
• Resend — delivery of transactional email.
• Google (via the Vercel AI Gateway) — processes the photos you submit to the AI drafting feature to generate draft text, and powers optional Google sign-in.

We never sell your personal data. Contact details you publish on a sale are visible to anyone who has that sale’s link.

Some of these providers process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the providers’ standard contractual clauses.

We keep your account and sale data until you delete it. Deleting a sale removes its items and photos; deleting your account removes your account, all of your sales and items, and their photos.

Subject to applicable law (including the GDPR for users in the EU/EEA), you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can delete your account and all associated data yourself at any time from Account → Delete account. For any other request, contact support@selloff.app. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

Data is encrypted in transit. Access to your records is enforced at the database level so that only you can read and write your own data, and analytics identifiers are stored only as irreversible hashes.

Selloff is not directed to children and is not intended for use by anyone under 16.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the “last updated” date above when we do.
